How does Lasercap® LCPRO™ Work

LaserCap® LCPRO™ uses low-level laser light therapy to improve cellular respiration and function by stimulating the hair follicle cells. Better breathing cells make for a better functioning hair follicle, and produces a happier, healthier hair! LaserCap is backed by experts in the fields of science, medicine, and technology. Optimal power and ease of use are at the heart of the LaserCap, giving our patients the best results possible.

Until recently, this technology was only available through in-office devices, in hair clinics and the like. With LaserCap® LCPRO™, you can now take it home, making it a much more effective treatment.

Typically the LaserCap® LCPRO™ is worn 35 minutes every other day, with results starting to be noticeable in 18 weeks.

LaserCap® LCPRO™ can also be used with other treatments, including PRP (platelet rich plasma) therapy and hair transplantation.

Who Suffers from Hair Loss?

Pattern Hair LossHair loss affects millions of women worldwide. Baldness (technically known as alopecia) can be caused by alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder, by fungal infection, traumatic damage, such as by compulsive pulling, as a result of chemotherapy, and as a result of nutritional deficiencies such as Iron deficiency.

Women have between 100,000 and 150,000 hairs on their head. The number of strands normally lost in a day varies, but on average is 100. In order to maintain a normal volume, hair must be replaced at the same rate at which it is lost. The first signs of hair thinning that women will often notice are more hairs than usual left in the hairbrush after brushing or in the basin after shampooing.

Psychological Effect of Hair Loss

Hair thinning and baldness cause psychological stress due to their effect on appearance. Hair is considered an essential part of overall identity: especially for women, for whom it often represents femininity and attractiveness. Although they may be aware of pattern baldness in their family, many are uncomfortable talking about the issue.

For sufferers, it can represent a loss of control and feelings of isolation. Women experiencing female hair loss often find themselves in a situation where their physical appearance is at odds with their own self-image and commonly worry that they appear older than they are or less attractive to others.
